Mark G. Underhill is a 1995 graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of Victoria, and was called to the Bar of the Law Society of British Columbia in 1996. He practised with a leading litigation boutique for ten years before establishing Underhill Boies Parker in 2005. His areas of interest focus on administrative, environmental, aboriginal and constitutional law, and he maintains a broad general civil litigation practice.

Mark has appeared at all levels of Court, including as lead counsel for the plaintiffs in Canadian Federation of Students v. Greater Vancouver Transportation Authority in the Supreme Court of Canada. He has taught environmental law in the Faculties of Law and Environmental Studies at the University of Victoria, and is a regular speaker at legal educational conferences in his practice areas. Among other community activities, Mark is the President and the chair of the board of directors of the West Coast Environmental Law Association.

Mark has been selected by his peers to be included in the last four editions (2009-2012) of Best Lawyers in Canada in the specialty of Environmental Law.

Catherine Boies Parker graduated in 1994 from the Faculty of Law, University of Victoria, where she received the Law Society Gold Medal and Prize. Catherine was called to the Bar of the Law Society of British Columbia in 1998. Her areas of practice include administrative, privacy, labour and employment, environmental, aboriginal and constitutional law, as well as general civil litigation.

Catherine has appeared at all levels of Court, and before numerous administrative and regulatory tribunals. She has been an instructor at the Environmental Law Clinic at the University of Victoria, and is a frequent guest lecturer on topics such as privacy law, civil liberties, constitutional law and equality issues. She is a former director of the Mary Manning Centre, Child Abuse Prevention and Counselling Society of Greater Victoria and Chair of the ORCA Children's Advocacy Centre Society.

Catherine was awarded the 2008 "Contribution to the Law" award from the Victoria Bar Association in recognition of her work on a case involving the Charter rights of Victoria’s homeless.  In 2009, she received a Human Rights Honours Award,  sponsored  by the Vancouver Island Human Rights Institute and presented by the Honourable Stephen L. Point.

Robin Gage has been an associate with UBP since 2006, and works at the firm's Victoria office. She is a graduate of the UBC Faculty of Law where she was awarded prizes in legal writing and environmental law. As a law student, Robin worked with the law firm Rosenbloom & Aldridge where she worked primarily on aboriginal law matters. Upon graduation, Robin clerked with the British Columbia Supreme Court in Vancouver and articled with Arvay Finlay. She was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2003. Robin has experience in many areas of civil litigation including human rights, environmental and constitutional law, commercial and property-related disputes, and administrative law. She has provided legal advice and services to a broad range of private and institutional clients as well as administrative bodies, and has appeared as counsel in the BC Supreme Court, the BC Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court of Canada. Robin also has experience conducting real estate transactions and drafting contracts and policies for a variety of corporate, private and institutional clients. Robin supports public legal education by speaking to law students, community groups, and high school students about important legal issues. Robin also provides assistance to clients on a variety of environmental law matters through West Coast Environmental Law, and is an associate of the University of Victoria's Environmental Law Centre.
